Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

The walk out to this lighthouse took me MUCH longer than I'd anticipated. Leaving in what I thought was plenty of time to arrive before sunset, I hadn't figured the distance accurately, nor the time it would take. It was early December and although not a very cold day, I was still in my long, down jacket and some lightweight, snow boots, which were comfortable for walking, but not highly insulated. After walking for more than an hour, and with the lighthouse in sight, I could see that the time it would take to walk around the marsh would leave me very short on time, as the sunset was fast approaching. Seeing that I darted across the marsh, knowing that if my boots got wet in the little streams and gullies I needed to cross, I'd be in trouble. I am a long-time lover of travel & landscape photography. I had a film camera when I was a kid and bought my first SLR camera, which I remember was a Nikon 2020. Once that was in hand, I took a class and remember walking around Balboa Park in San Diego, wondering at all it would do. Since then, my love of photography never died, but it (like many other things in life) went up and down in importance. When I worked for the cruise lines between 1987 - 1993, I traveled all over the world, and remember feeling then, that although I was traveling to amazing places, I only wished I could control the time of day and location, as I knew even way back then, how important lighting was.
